How far in advance will we need to book you as our wedding photographer?
The earlier the better! In order to provide the best service to my clients, I only photograph 5 to 6 weddings a year.
May we meet before the wedding?
Of course! As a former bride-to-be myself, I know that you’ll have a lot of questions and I’m more than happy to answer them for you. I would also love to hear all about your wedding plans – contact me and we can meet for coffee or tea to go over the details.
What is your photography style?
How much will we need to deposit? When is our final payment due?
I require a 50% initial deposit and the rest to be paid on or before your wedding day.
What happens after we pay our deposit?
We will tentatively schedule your Save the Date or Engagement session (if applicable). About 2 months prior to your wedding day, I will send you a questionnaire to gather specific information about your “day of” wedding details. A few weeks prior to your wedding day, I will schedule a meeting for us to discuss your photography schedule and scout your wedding day locations.
How soon after our wedding will our photos ready?
I know that you’ll be anxious to see your images so I will post a few sneak peek images to my Jamie V Photography Facebook Page a few days after your wedding. Your Personal Online Image Gallery and USB of beautifully edited, high resolution images will be ready within 5 weeks following your wedding day.
How many images will we receive?
I will carefully select and edit the best images that tell the story of your wedding day. On average, clients will receive between 400-700 professionally edited images.
Where should I print my images?
In order to preserve the correct color tones and image quality, I recommend:
Artifact Uprising, Mpix, or Quicksilver Photo Lab (Bellingham-based local business).
Professional Gallery Wrap Canvases are also available – please contact me for pricing.
May our wedding day images be purchased online?
Yes – images from your wedding will be available via a Personal Online Image Gallery, which can easily be shared with your family and friends for viewing and purchasing.
What type of equipment do you use?
I use professional Canon DSLR Cameras and professional series lenses, flashes and other accessories. A complete list of the gear I use can be found here.
Do you have backup equipment?
Yes, I will have an additional camera body, memory cards, and batteries on hand.
Do you photograph destination weddings?
Yes – as you can see from my blog or my Facebook Page, I absolutely LOVE to travel! Please contact me for rates outside of Whatcom or Skagit County. Rates will include mileage cost or the airline ticket and hotel/transportation expenses.
