About Jamie V Photography

* I was raised on a dairy farm in Sumas, WA
* I live in beautiful Bellingham, WA with my wonderful husband, Chuck
* We have 3 sponsored daughters through Plan USA - Mutoni, Michelling, and Wassilatou
* My first camera was a bright pink Le Clic 110 film camera - it was awesome
* I bought my first DSLR in 2009 and since then, I haven't stopped learning anything and everything I can about photography
* I would love the opportunity to provide you with beautiful images that you (and your grandchildren) will cherish in the years to come

I love:
* Photographing people, places, and weddings
* Travel, travel, and more travel (happily, willing and able to photograph worldwide)
* Anything active and outdoorsy - hiking, biking, backpacking, camping, fishing, snowboarding, beachcombing, rockhounding, and practicing yoga
* Everything tropical (sunshine, flowers, rainstorms, drinks, etc)
* Playing Cribbage
* Reading (A Prayer for Owen Meany and Half the Sky are two of my favorite books)
* Music - I spend way too much money on iTunes and love making mixtapes (or CDs actually) for my friends
* Good food, preferably organic (but I hate cooking)
* PBS, NPR, National Geographic, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and The Colbert Report
* Surrounding myself with people who make me laugh (my wonderful friends & family)
* Buying local, social responsibility, and causes supporting women's rights

My goals:
* Learn Spanish
* Travel most of the world (Colombia, Bali, and Cuba are at the top of my list right now)

The Hansen Kids | Bellingham Children Photographer

As I’ve said before, this family is one of my very favorites – it is SO fun to laugh with Kim and Eddy while we attempt to get ‘the shot’ of their kids.

I love watching how much the kid’s personalities have changed! Dylan is still the sweetest older brother ever, so loving and patient with his little sisters. Sloane has become quite the adorable little clown, continually hamming it up for the camera. Oh, and that little Quinny…those cheeks, that smile – cutest baby ever!
